This series overall is a fantastic buy. Anime fans alike will love this one. It’s great for seasoned fans of Leiji Matsumoto (and more specifically fans of Harlock) but if you’re a Harlock newbie you might get confused since there’s alot of stuff that’s mentioned from previous series and characters. I suggest checking out “Arcadia of My Youth” before seeing this one if you are a newbie.
As for the release of disc 4, you can’t be more happy! They did a wonderful job with this one. This is a two disc set, with a bonus disc full of goodies (such as storyboards for episodes 1 and 13, interviews with Matsumoto and Rin, trailers, and a 250+ art gallery…WOW!!). Also this specific set comes with a beautiful box that fits all four of the DVD’s. The regular disc with the last three episodes has the same design and features as the past 3 discs had.
Just a great buy overall! I love this series and the finished touches they did with disc 4. The Harlock geek in me is most satisfied and pleased!
