It is said that a picture is worth a thousand words. Indeed, the image of the American Flag being raised at Iwo Jima – or ground zero – is good for 80,000 words and two award winning screenplays.
The image here is Hakufu Sonsaku (who allows me to call her Hakufu-chan, because she’s crushing on me), a certified Battle Angel and babe, faithfully rendered in three dimensions.
She’s soft where she wants to be and hard where she needs to be.
In this fine depiction Hakufu-chan has, perchance, bitten off a bit more than she can chew. Perhaps the adversary is a sword-master who has, with the precision of a surgeon-tailor, reduced her vest and blouse to mere tatters while, miraculously, leaving her perfect skin unscathed. Or, maybe she’s been set upon by mutated, ravenous moth larvae, hungry for the fabric of her life.
Whatever the challenge, we see Hakufu-chan in a pensive moment, reevaluating her situation. We see her vulnerable, exposed and a bit contemplative. Her back may be against the wall, but Hakufu Sonsaku will use that wall as a launching platform to counter-attack her antagonist.
Because that is what Hakufu-chan does.
A picture is worth a thousand words. A three-dimensional representation is worth a thousand words to the third power.
